about

More than a dialogue between the music of Brazil and Israel, the album 'O Pequeno Milagre de Cada Dia', launching the Núcleo Contemporâneo label, is born from a characteristic common to Benjamim Taubkin, João Taubkin and Itamar Doari - the encounter as food for your creations. The three share the habit of playing with musicians from different cultures that provides the exercise of listening for genuine musical encounters where exchange and freedom are present.

Benjamim, João and Itamar have already performed together both in Brazil - at Casa do Núcleo - and in Israel - at the Red Sea Jazz Festival. In all these meetings, the revelation of a great musical affinity made them express their desire to record a CD together.

In February 2016, they were at the Carbono Sound Lab, in São Paulo, to record live a repertoire with compositions by the three members - in addition to songs by Milton Nascimento. Mozambican singer Lenna Bahule, Polish cellist Agnieszka Teodorowskae and Brazilian percussionist Sérgio Reze were invited to participate.
The occasion was also recorded as part of the documentary - O Piano Que Conversa - a project by filmmaker Marcelo Machado, about the musical meetings that pianist Benjamim Taubkin held with musicians over twenty musicians from different countries. The film, recently released, won the Petrobrás Award for best national feature, in the Popular Jury category, within the In-Edit Brasil Festval
